Host your party at Locally Crafted Workshop!
Birthday parties at Locally Crafted Workshop are the perfect celebration for any kid who loves to create. The projects listed here are best suited to 6- to 15-year-olds, so there should be something to suit your crafty kid. We love crafting with tweens and teens, so send us a group of older kids and we promise we’ll win them over!
Working with our staff, you’ll choose a “party project” from the list below. Supplies are high-quality and the finished projects are definitely worth bragging about. We’ll ask you a few questions about your kid, their guests and their interests to help you plan just the right party.

Saturdays and Sundays: 10:30a.m., 1p.m., 3:30p.m.*
$380 for up to 12 children
$30 per additional child (siblings count as guests)

Siblings count as guests. We are open to larger parties, but it will depend on the age of the group and the availability of our staff. Please contact us to inquire about parties on days other than Saturdays or Sundays.
As they arrive, guests will start with an “appetizer” project, often collaborating to create a banner for the birthday kid to commemorate the day, or making a decoration for their bedrooms. Depending on the age of the group, we’ll have other small projects available throughout the party for kids who might be a little quicker at crafting.
Parties are 90 minutes, and include time for a party treat that you supply. We kindly ask that you keep food to one dessert treat and only smaller snacks, if you wish — no larger food items, like pizza. We promise, your guests will be so busy creating, they won’t miss the extra food! And it’s one less thing for you to worry about. (Please bring paper products and serving utensils.)
COLLAGE CHARACTERS
One of our most popular parties! Kids collage a wood shape of their choice, create a wired hanger at our Bead Bar, and add some personality with a cute face (optional, but encouraged!).
Recommended for: Ages 6+
MINI WORLDS
This party has lots of possibilities as kids choose from a huge selection of supplies to create their own world. Can be tailored to a theme, like fairies, mermaids, dinosaurs, candyland and more. An excellent project for mixed-gender groups and popular with a wide range of ages.
Recommended for: Ages 6+
TRINKET COLLAGE
You won’t believe how fun it is to glue stuff to other stuff. Choose a wood shape or frame; paint it; and fill it with as many trinkets and beads as you can squeeze in. Pick a theme, or make random in the best way.
Recommended for: Ages 8+
PATCH BAR
Create the ultimate DIY accessory! Guests will personalize a tote bag, pouch or hat with patches, charms, chains, pins and more. We attach the patches with a heat press right here in the studio — instant gratification!
DREAMCATCHERS/WALL HANGINGS
Endless room for creativity and customization. We can add extra elements depending on age, like felt flowers, beading and braiding. Have a theme in mind (“Wicked,” Taylor Swift)? This project is very customizable.
Recommended for: Ages 7+ (great for tweens and teens)
INSECT COLLAGE
It’s cuter than it sounds! Guests will design their own bugs — as cute or creepy as they want. Then they’ll name their critters and give them a place of honor in their own museum-worthy display.
Recommended for: Ages 6+
MOSAIC ART
Guests will select a wood base and choose from a variety of tiles, beads, and other fun materials to create a unique work of art.
Recommended for: Ages 8+
(Note: Mosaic projects will be grouted by our staff, so they must be picked up a few days after the party.)
INITIAL ART
The ultimate personal project! Each guest uses buttons, Legos or other small trinkets to fill in their first initial on a canvas or wood shape.
Recommended for: Ages 8+
INSPIRATION BOARDS
We love a craft-supply buffet, and that’s what you’ll get at this party. Each guest will create a corkboard full of all the quotes, colors, patterns and pieces that inspire them.
Recommended for: Ages 11+
RESIN ART
Guests will learn resin techniques to make three shaped trinket dishes in their own style. They can choose from tons of embellishments to make custom creations.
Recommended for: Ages 11+ ONLY
(Note: Resin projects need time to cure, so they can be picked up a few days after the party.)
JUNK JOURNALS
Junk journaling is one of the hottest social media trends, and we’ve got everything to help your guests get started. Everyone will decorate a journal and start a few spreads inside.
Recommended for: Ages 12+ (great for teens)
BAG CHARM BAR
Learn some basic jewelry techniques to make a custom bag/backpack charm or keychain. Choose charms, beads, links, clips and more for this super-maximalist project.
Recommended for: Ages 11+ (great for teens)
BEAD BAR
Most of our party projects include our Bead Bar in one way or another. But if you’ve got a birthday kid who loves making jewelry, choose the Bead Bar as the centerpiece. Guests will go crazy for our giant selection of beads, which grows every day!
Recommended for: Ages 7+
AIR-DRY CLAY
Play with squishy, satisfying air-dry clay to make magnets, Croc charms or embellishments in any shape you want. Every guest will go home with a box of colorful creations.

Party with our Partners!
We’re lucky to host parties with two amazing outside partners, Slimebar and Brick Builder Bashes. If slime or Legos are your birthday kid’s vibe, let us connect you with these party experts! Your party will be hosted in our large, convenient space, and run by our friends at Slimebar or Brick Builder Bashes. Visit their sites for all the details and then get in touch to check dates.
Party Favor Add-ons
Want to send your guests home with one more little treat? We offer crafty party favors for an additional fee, ready and waiting for you at party time. If you’d like us to provide party favors, please let us know at least two weeks before the event.
Party pouch ($12/guest): The ultimate crafty takeaway! Each guest receives a canvas pencil pouch; two pencils hand-stamped with a crafty phrase; a sheet of awesome Pipsticks stickers; a cute zipper pull and a roll of washi tape.
Bead kits ($7/guest): It’s like taking our famous Bead Bar to go. Each guest receives a jar packed with fun and unique beads, plus more than 4 feet of our favorite stretchy string. Makes 4-5 bracelets, or use the beads for other projects. We can customize the mix to age, gender or interest.
Mini bath bombs ($2.50/per piece): A fun and fruity gift for your guests. These mini bath bombs come in tons of shapes, and are individually wrapped and easy to give.
Lego backpack charms ($6/guest): Backpack and bag charms are a daily reminder of a great party, and the little builders in your life will love this one. Charms are handmade in our studio, and kids can add more bricks at home to make it even more personal.
The Fine Print
Here are a few additional things to remember about birthday parties in our workshop space:
Parties are 90 minutes and hosted Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Kindly arrive no more than 15 minutes before your party’s start time, and ask guests to arrive promptly at the party start time.
We will confirm your guest count five days before the party. You will be charged for the number of guests you give us at that time, because that’s how many we’ll prepare materials for.
Remind your guests to dress for crafting! Depending on the project, glue or paint will likely be involved.
Party pricing starts at $380 for up to 12 guests and $30 for each additional guest up to 18. (If you have a larger party, please contact us to confirm that we can accommodate your group.) If younger siblings will be participating, please count them in the total number of guests. We strongly encourage guardians to drop off and enjoy the offerings at the Rio. Please remind them to promptly pick up at the end of the party.
There is a $100 nonrefundable deposit due at the time of booking.
We supply all art materials, artist instruction, a birthday banner as a take-home souvenir for the birthday child … and of course, a stress-free good time.
You may supply your choice of dessert and/or light snacks, and beverages to be consumed after the project. Please be kind and keep all food and drinks at the dessert table for the duration of the party.
Please keep in mind that we have items for sale and materials for other events that are not for use during your private party. Any items that are damaged will be charged to the client.
Tipping in cash is appreciated, but never expected.
