Duration: 2 hours
Ages: All ages (under 12 with an adult)

If you love a handmade holiday, get set to make the cutest crocheted ornament/gift topper. This tiny beanie can hang on a Christmas tree, top a gift or make a sweet thank-you for your holiday host. And a gift card slides perfectly inside for those hard-to-shop-for teens on your list.
In this workshop, you will:
Use basic crochet stitches to create a simple foundational piece. You’ll also learn a few new tricks, like crocheting into the back loop to create a ribbed texture.
Make some quick stitches to form your rectangle into a tiny hat.
Learn to make a mini pompom using a tool that’s already right in your kitchen.
The best part — choose from our buffet of supplies to embellish and customize your little beanie.
We will provide wool yarn, heavy-duty needles and embellishments, along with a hook to borrow. If you’d like to bring your own hook or continue making beanies at home, an H hook will work best with the yarn we’re providing.
Very basic crochet knowledge required (slip knot, chain and single crochet). We’ll use half-double crochet as our main stitch, but that is easy to learn if you already know the basics.
Crocheters of all ages are welcome, but kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
