Join the Collage Club — our new series of workshops designed to make it easy and fun to get creative. We’ve been doing a lot of collage with kids at parties and events, and honestly, we realized that making samples for those was way too fun to limit it to kids.
Collage Club will meet every few weeks for low-stress, high-vibes crafting. Prompts and materials will vary, but you can expect an open-ended session to just do whatever moves your creative spirit. Need more guidance? We’ll have plenty of samples to get you started.
We’re starting with Botanical Collage (but seriously, this isn’t school — you won’t get in trouble if you create something else). Plants and flowers make great collage subjects because you can use simple shapes to evoke them without worrying about whether it’s perfect.
You can expect:
A few minutes of instruction and inspiration, but nothing rigid and NO RULES.
Paper, mark-making tools (colored pencils, paint sticks, acrylic markers, watercolor, gel pens), scissors, patterned paper, glitter cardstock and more.
All kinds of adhesives, including several types of glue, foam tape and washi tape.
Various options for backgrounds for your collage. Paper or cardstock is included in your ticket; if you’d like to upgrade to a piece of wood or a canvas, you can pay for that separately when inspiration strikes.
You’re welcome to bring collage materials to share (or not share!). As we host more sessions, we’ll save collage materials from previous workshops so we build up a lovely array of options.
P.S. We’re calling it a “club,” because frankly, it’s cute. There’s no pressure to sign up for multiple sessions or attend every time. But you should.
