Led by: Julie Gross (@createatlocallycrafted)
Learn to paint a sculptural floral piece in this innovative class by local artist Julie Gross. You will learn how to use pastry bags and piping tips to paint flowers on a surface, and will finish the artwork by creating a vase of flowers.
You will receive two small wood panels (4-inch and 6-inch sizes) as paint surfaces. During the workshop you will have access to a variety of piping tips and paints to explore this process.
All materials are provided, including:
Variety of piping tips (similar to what is used to pipe icing on a cake)
Pastry bags
Heavy body acrylic paint
Palette knives
Palette paper
Fine-line applicators to add detail
Julie will demonstrate techniques every step of the way until each crafter has created a beautiful, textured bouquet.
These paintings will need to dry overnight. Participants are welcome to take their paintings home (boxes will be provided), or leave them for later pickup.
