(Please note: This is a one-session workshop — a Mah Jongg bootcamp, if you will!)

Crack! Bam! Dot! Come learn the ancient Chinese game of Mah Jongg (American style). This one-day workshop introduces beginners to the basic rules and simple strategies necessary to master the game.

During the first part of the session, we will learn the basics of identifying tiles, identifying hands on the card, and learning the basic rules. Then we'll practice playing the game with other beginners. By the end of the class you should feel comfortable joining a low-stakes game.

Enrollment will include a National Mah Jongg league card (a $15 value that you'll use any time you play). We'll offer snacks and drinks, in true Mah Jongg style.

This workshop is open to players ages 18 and older.
