September Open Studio

Duration: 3 hours
Ages: All ages
Led by: Locally Crafted Workshop (@createatlocallycrafted)

We took a few months off from Open Studios, which means we’re super-excited to get back in the groove when fall rolls around! September’s Open Studio falls on Labor Day weekend, so plan to bring any family who is in town, or gather up some new school friends and craft together.

These monthly workshops are full of family-friendly, open-ended projects, and this time, all of our projects will be themed around world travel. This was the theme of our August summer camp, and we brainstormed way too many projects, so we thought this was the perfect place to share them.

As with all of our Open Studio events, we invite you to stay for a few minutes, or hang out all day. Bring a friend, a kid, a partner or come alone. Crafters of all ages will find something fun to make, we’re sure of it. This event is not just for kids! Adults are invited to get crafty with us, whether you've got a kid with you or not.

Our crafting stations this time will include:

  • Mini travel journals with some prompts and doodles to get you started.

  • An easy-to-master collage project with European vibes.

  • A beautiful mandala project

  • A cool luggage tag that will be the envy of the airport.

  • And much more!

All the projects are open-ended, and ready for you to put your own spin on them. There will be no official instruction, but we will offer lots of inspiration if you need it.

Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door (plus fees). It helps us so much to know how many people to expect, so advance tickets are discounted! Crafters 4 and under are free, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Crafters under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
