Wire Wrapping for Beginners

Join Pam Baldwin of Purple Air Frog Arts (@purpleairfrogarts) for a hands-on, beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn the art of wire wrapping to create a custom pendant. Whether you’re new or have some experience, this class will guide you through the basics of creating your own beautiful wire-wrapped jewelry.

What you’ll learn:

  • Wire work safety

  • Tools of the trade: pliers, cutters, bail makers, and choosing the right wire and stones

  • Step-by-step instruction to create a copper wire wrapped pendant

  • Tips for clean, professional finishes and troubleshooting common issues

  • Q&A and personalized feedback on your project

  • Learn tips for achieving clean, professional finishes and troubleshooting common issues.

  • Benefit from a dedicated Q&A session and personalized feedback on your project.

What’s included: All tools for your use at the workshop, and materials (including stones, copper wire, and pendant cords).

What to bring: Glasses you might require for close-up work. Optional: magnifiers and/or eye protection glasses.

You will leave with a finished, handcrafted pendant and the foundational skills to continue your wire-wrapping journey.

Note: Class will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Latecomers may miss important instructions given at the start of the workshop. Contact us in advance if you have a copper allergy.

This workshop is open to crafters 12 to adult. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
