Duration: 2 hours
Ages: 7 to adult (under 11 with an adult)
Led by: Locally Crafted Workshop (@createatlocallycrafted)
A few months ago, we made a kitchen-themed sample of our mini bookcase project, just for fun. But everyone who sees it asks when they can make one. So we decided it’s time!
Join us for a cozy afternoon building your own tiny kitchen shelf. If you’d like, make it Christmas- or Hanukkah-themed, but that’s totally optional. What’s not optional: Lots of tiny things, cozy vibes and plenty of whimsy!
What’s included:
A 5-by-5-inch bookcase ready for you to customize and embellish.
Miniature kitchen items like stand mixers, plates, cutting boards, jars, utensils, bowls, coffee mugs and food.
Holiday embellishments including gingerbread houses, candy canes, menorahs, festive food, dreidels and more.
Lots of tiny books! We’ll have mini versions of actual books — contemporary and classic — and some you can decorate yourself. And for this workshop, we’ll have the option to create tiny cookbooks and holiday books.
A buffet of supplies so you can embellish your shelves; create items like potted plants or festive wreaths; or whatever else you can dream up to make your perfect space. We’ll also have many of our standard bookcase miniatures to give you lots of options.
Plus, you’re welcome to bring any tiny trinkets or photos to add your own touches.
We can’t wait to show you all the goodies we’ve collected — let’s make tiny things together.
This workshop is open to crafters ages 7 and up, but kids under 11 should be accompanied by an adult.
